Live and spend your liesure time in Georgia's favorite mountain town only 90 miles north of Atlanta via I-575, but a million miles away from the city.

     

    Winter, summer, spring and fall, Georgia’s Blue Ridge is simply beautiful. Winter is cool and quiet with occasional snow. Spring is best for trout fishing, wildflowers, blooming dogwoods and native azaleas. Summer brings a profusion of mountain laurel and rhododendron blossoms, along with warmer water for tubing & rafting. Blue Ridge is the perfect place to celebrate the harvest and the glorious color of fall, or to enjoy the holidays with family and friends. The best way to experience the beauty of the mountains and countryside is on one of our scenic driving tours.

     

    7am-3pm (with call rotation); 3 OR suites; perform approximately 2800 surgeries annually in the following specialties: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, Urology, and Pain Management.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

     3 OR suites; perform approximately 2800 surgeries annually in the following specialties: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, Urology, and Pain Management.

     

    Performs perioperative job functions in accordance with established standards and procedures as it applies to patient care assuring that the right jobs and procedures are completed correctly and efficiently according to AORN; JCAHO; and state regulations.  Contributes to team efforts and carries out assignments in a responsible manner with attention to quality and safety.

     

    Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements:  ADN; BSN Preferred

    BLS; ACLS; CNOR Preferred

    Experience: 2 years’ Operating Room Experience
